Making Data Physical
During the time of this project, we had just gone into lockdown 2 of 2020. It inspired me to think about how our homes become more than just a home, but it becomes an office, a chill out space, a place to eat and sleep and so on.
from mapping the movement around the house of my family of 4, for a day in lockdown, I created an installation space in which the 4 colours depict a different family member. The building visually shows the movement of each individual, and the colours come together when family members spend time with one another. I propse the installation is a sped up time lapse of the day, where the colours light up different blocks depending on which room the individuals are in.
In each room there is a typographic wall which states which room you are in. Underneath there is a brief statement explaining what roles that room took throughout the day. The walls are typed from my handwriting to create a more personal response.
